Some students may be feeling a little disconnected from their school without events, assemblies and times where everyone can gather together.
Let's help connect students to school through School Spirit! Volunteer for the Spirit Committee, purchase Nixon Gear or help to organize a virtual event after school hours.
PTO Meeting Tonight!
All are welcome to join as we talk about upcoming events, appreciation initiatives and school spirit!
We've got the perfect Snow Gear Bag! Made from durable, 50% recycled material, zip top closure, over-the-shoulder length handles and big enough for all your winter wear.
The school asks that your student bring snow gear in a separate bag. Teachers love the zip-top closure and the name label!
The PTO uses your donations to support Educational Enrichment programs for each grade. 25,000 dollars is budgeted each year to pay for amazing programs for your student. Next week the fifth grade will engage in a live program from the McAuliffe Center for Integrated Science Learning on Astronomy!
Thank you for enabling the PTO to provide these wonderful programs!
Spirit Day: Cooperation - November 9th
Spirit Days are scheduled throughout the school year and each one highlights one of the school's Core Values:
Cooperation
Aim High
Respect & Kindness
Effort
Safety
The PTO is donating fun spirit materials for each spirit day to help your student get into the Nixon Spirit! Get your owl eye mask ready for our first Core Value Spirit Day of the year on Monday, November 9th! Wear your eye mask and Nixon Gear!

Check out our next task below. All supplies have already been ordered and are ready for assembly! Estimated 1-2 hours of time. We need them ready for Wednesday, December 9th.
We are still looking for volunteers for Curriculum Crafts for:
First Grade & Second Grade
We need help preparing craft materials to be assembled into individual kits to go home with students. All projects will be planned out for you, no need to be creative! We just need volunteers to cut out items and place them into baggies. Please sign up on our website under Get Involved - Volunteer!
