Textile Donations

 

It feels good to clean out your closets, but even better when it supports your school community and the environment.  Donated items are accepted in any condition as long as they are clean and dry, Bay State Textiles takes “the good, the bad and the ugly.“ Visit baystatetextiles.com for a list of acceptable items including clothing, shoes, pocketbooks, household linens and stuffed animals. 

Not only are you helping the environment by not letting these items go into landfills, Baystate Textiles will pay Nixon PTO $100 per ton of recycled textiles!! 

 

Our textile recycling bin is located by the loading dock and disposal area of the school. Enter 472 Concord road and turn left at the top of the circle. The bin will be immediately to your right.

Corporate Matching Instructions:

  1.  Check to see if your company has a matching gift program: Many companies have online portals on their employee websites for their matching gift programs which makes submission easy. If you can’t find an online portal, call your company’s HR department. They will be able to tell you if your company matches gifts from qualified 501(c)3 non-profits like Nixon PTO.
  2. Select The General John Nixon PTO from the list of qualified 501(c)3 non-profits. If Nixon is not listed, there is usually a section for “add a new organization.” Your company may ask for Nixon PTO's “IRS determination letter,” which can be found HERE.
  3. Enter the information your company requires about your donation. In order for most donations to qualify, you cannot have received any goods or services in exchange for the donation.
  4. Submit any supporting documents. Supporting documents could include Nixon PTOs IRS determination letter (available HERE), and/or a receipt for your donation to Nixon PTO.  

Don’t delay, many companies have end-of-year, or a specific number of months-from-date-of-donation restrictions.
